My little buddy Shamrock

by Gary
(South Carolina)

We got Shamrock in 2000,he was 6 weeks old. The bond formed instantly. And grew beyond words over the years.

He wasn't just a pet or even part of the family. He was part of me.

We lost him on 7-25-15 to complications of a heart condition.

I can't stop grieving his loss.
Shamrock, I love you and miss you buddy!

Shamrock

Grief is the price of love and I think you will agree that it was worth it.
If you felt like everything was okay, you wouldn't be human and I do understand what it is to loose the most special friend we'll ever have. Time is the only thing that helps, but even time can't stop you from remembering Shamrock.
I don't know if you believe this now, but perhaps in time you'll find room in your heart to take in another dog and give it a loving home. This isn't a betrayal to Shamrock, but it's a way of honouring his spirit as dogs are all about love and they can teach us so much.
My thoughts go out to you as I realize this is so very painful, but when we love a dog we know we will probably outlive them and for many reasons it's good that we do as there are many dogs in shelters because they outlived their owners. I know you will feel better, but it will take some time and then it won't hurt so much.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
