Jasper....precious in so many ways.

by Debby Welch
(Milford, ma)

When I was looking to adopt a dog in Florida, I spent a lot of time praying for the right one to come to me.

I prayed on a name and God put the name of "Jasper" on my heart.

It came from the Bible, and is a precious stone in the walls of the new Jerusalem described in Revelation....

Revelation 4:3

like a jasper
Jasper describes the light of, foundation, and walls of the holy Jerusalem (Rev. Rev. 21:11+, Rev. 21:18-20+). It was the last of the twelve stones representing the twelve tribes of Israel which were mounted in the breastplate of the high priest Aaron

I knew her name before I found her. She was at an adoption clinic held at a pet sore, and had been rescued from the streets of Miami after a hurricane. She was 4-5 years old and sick with a blood disease and heartworm.

When I saw her and her perfect colored coat of Jasper, and looked in her eyes I knew she was my gift from God.....The sign above her crate said, " I'm sick, please save me", but indeed, it was her who saved my lonely and broken heart. her intelligence and faithfulness was unsurpassed.

Thank you God for the 10 years she loved and taught me valuable lessons of the heart.

Toddy my little fluff ball
by: Anonymous

We got our dog Todd from a rescue home. He was so tiny and cute, and we knew he was the one for our family. The minutiae we took him home he brought us nothing but joy. My children were very young then, and enjoyed having a playmate, as the years passed by we slowly watched him go blind. We felt he needed a companion because he started getting depressed, so off to the rescue home to get him a companion. This made all the difference he was back to his old self again. Unfortunately as time went on he developed a heart murmur and stomach problems and lost a considerable amount of weight. He wasn't happy and used to spend most of his time at the bottom of the stairs to weak to go out to the toilet. On the 1st august 2014 we had him put to sleep. I miss him so much, and so does our other dog max. Rip toddy forever in our hearts. Over the rainbow bridge until me meet again someday. Xxxx

Jasper, you are missed, and loved, deeply
by: Renee Ramsey

There needs to be more people like you dear! Most people that see a sign that says what Jaspers did, sad to say, would just walk on by. You were both blessed, by each other. I am so very happy you were there to save her precious life, and give her the loving home she so deeply deserved. Thank God for both of you. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Jasper, please know that you are deeply loved, and dearly missed. Run free girl!
