I'm dogsitting a 6mth old Yorkie that has been trained on pee pads, can I use a crate for him while he is with me?
I am dogsitting a 6-month-old Morkie, whose owner lets him roam the apt when she's not home. I would like to keep him confined somewhere when I am not home. Is it best to get a crate for him or keep him in the kitchen? What would be less stress for him since I know he's not use to either of the 2 things.
As the pup isn't yours and he isn't used to a crate, I would suggest just using a baby-gate or something similar to confine him to the kitchen when you're not at home.
It will likely be less stressful for him and he can use his pee-pee pads. Plus you won't need to go to the expense of buying a crate that is only going to be used a few times.
Best of luck.
