This is absolutely normal behavior for a puppy, and some breeds are more stubborn about this nipping/biting behavior than others.
I can really only recommend that you read my Puppy Biting page as it has all the tips and advice you need to get this under control.
The main problem is that new owners often expect the puppy to learn that biting isn't acceptable within a day or two, or a week or two. Although some puppies may figure it out quickly, the majority of them take weeks, or months even, of consistent correction (done the right way, as I describe on the page mentioned above) before they finally 'get the message'!
Their natural instinct to bite/nip is very strong and they're creatures of habit so it's something that needs to be corrected in the same way, by everyone in the family, every single time. It takes a lot of patience and perseverance, but if you do that you will be successful.
Puppies often see children as siblings, and may bite/nip them more than the adults. To help overcome this, make sure that your kids are involved in taking care of the puppy, feeding, training, grooming and so on.... and that they know how to correct the nipping. If they are very young you will need to help in all these areas.
Your puppy isn't being 'bad' or deliberately disobedient, he just doesn't 'get it' yet. So keep working on it and follow the tips on that page and you should be just fine.
Best of luck.
