These Beagle puppy photos are absolutely adorable and they show both the feisty and cuddly sides of this cheerful little dog.
The popularity of the Beagle just continues to grow, and it's consistently in the top 10 most popular breeds according to the annual AKC (American Kennel Club) figures.
This breed hasn't really changed too much in terms of looks or temperament since it's origins in Europe as early as the 14th century. Of course, why change anything when you're just perfect the way you are?
Getting great shots of Beagle puppies isn't too difficult, because they're so cute and absolutely full of life!
Cheerful and outgoing they live life to the max and are always ready to play... and to take a nap when all that fun has worn them out.
I've collected together a great selection of Beagle puppy pictures on this page and they're all different - and yet the bubbly personality of the breed shines brightly in each and every one of them. Who could resist these faces?
All of these photos have been submitted to my website by their owners and were featured in one of my monthly puppy photo contests. Enjoy!
Beagles are hounds and were originally bred as hunting dogs in England. Even pup who are bred from bloodlines who are no longer working dogs, and who will be spending their whole lives as family pets, retain their love of the outdoors!
Basic hound characteristics such as the desire to chase small, fast moving animals, an independent streak and the tendency to be very stubborn and focused when 'on task' are also still very much a part of the modern-day Beagle.
The next set of Beagle puppy photos showcase this breeds 'outdoorsy' nature and 'joie de vivre'.
This last set of pictures of Beagle puppies are just for fun :) They do show some of the different coat color variations, but mostly they just show how darned cute this breed is.....
